Elan S. Carr
Elan S. Carr serves as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County and as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. He is a veteran of the Iraq war, and during his deployment to Iraq, he helped lead anti-terrorism missions throughout the country and conducted Jewish services in the former presidential palace of Saddam Hussein in Baghdad. He is also the international president elect of Alpha Epsilon Pi, the international Jewish fraternity.Mr. Carr’s dedication to the community, strength of character and well-balanced lifestyle truly embody everything The LEV Foundation stands for and strives to teach. We are privileged to honor Mr. Carr at our 2011 Gala.

BHHS will be hosting their annual blood drive in honor of Daniel Levian and Vahagn Setian on Thursday, June 2nd from 7:30am-1:30pm. The LEV Foundation and Nessah Reach-U-All proudly present “RATED R: Mature Conversations for Parents and Young Adults.” In this latest installment of “Communicating in a New Era,” four talented panelists, Dr. Iraj Shamsian, Rabbi Weiss, and distinguished psychologists, Danielle Brooks and Jenna Laski will lead an open discussion about real issues and topics facing our generation today.
The event will provide an opportunity for parents and young adults, 17+ years old only please, to first participate in separate, youth-to-youth and parent-to-parent, sessions, followed by a joint, parent-to-youth discussion. We expect to reach full capacity, so be sure to join us in helping open lines of communication in our community!
